About Us

Our Background

I have been a teacher for 21 years. My specialty field is autism, though I have experience with all children with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities. I now work remotely, so I'm finally following a path that I've long desired! My heart also seeks out family travel and adventure. My hope is to inspire all families to travel, especially those with older kids like ours!

Phil works in sales. He has been in the field for about 19 years. We love to tag along on his work travels when at all possible. He's a genius when it comes to finding the right flights and fares, as well as doing the number crunching throughout our family excursions. I also call him my weather doppler and personal google map, haha.

We have two boys, ages 14 and 12. They love to travel as much as we do! They learn so much on our explorations on the road, it's always sad when our adventures come to an end. They love fishing, rocks, science, history, hand tools, swimming, and baseball. We have been homeschooling the last couple years and they are loving this lifestyle!

We typically travel full time in the summer, by car or airplane adventure. We try to sprinkle in international travel when we can- it has been our obsession lately. We itch to get away as often as possible and love to share our photos, tips, and travel stories!

How We Got Started

My husband and I have always loved to travel. We did as much as we could before having kids because we were afraid young children would hold us back. But, once we started a family, we quickly realized that our travel life didn't have to come to an end!!! Our boys have been all over the world with us.

We are traveling "family style" and loving every bit of it!

Top Destinations

Our favorite place to visit so far has been Alaska. My husband and I have traveled to Alaska THREE times, once without kids, and twice WITH kids. Observing bears and moose in the wild, gorgeous waterfalls, glaciers, and the rugged Alaskan terrain never gets old. Wish we could do an Alaska trip again and again and again.
